エディ・ヴェダーは、1990年にバンドへ加入して以来、パール・ジャムのフロントマン、ギタリスト、そして主要な作詞者として活躍してきた。
2017年にはパール・ジャムのメンバーとしてロックの殿堂入りを果たしている。
彼の力強いボーカル・スタイルと飾らないステージ・パフォーマンスは、まさにロック音楽の一時代を象徴するものとなった。
1991年のデビュー作『Ten』から2024年の最新作『Dark Matter』まで、パール・ジャムは12枚のスタジオ・アルバムを発表し、世界中で8500万枚以上のセールスを記録している。
ヴェダーのソロ活動としては、ゴールデン・グローブ賞受賞作『イントゥ・ザ・ワイルド』のサウンドトラック、グラミー賞ノミネート作『Ukulele Songs』、そしてアンドリュー・ワットをプロデューサーに迎えた2022年のアルバム『Earthling』などがある。
