これまで８枚のアルバムを発表し、3rd アルバムから直近 8th アルバムまで 6 作連続全英 1 位、全世界での累計アルバム・セールスは 2,600 万枚を突破、２度のグラミー賞をはじめ数多くの音楽賞を受賞する史上最強の3 ピース・ロック・バンド。2012 年に発表した『ザ・セカンド・ロウ～熱力学第二法則』は世界 21 ヶ国で 1 位を獲得、同年に行なわれたロンドン・オリンピックの公式テーマ・ソングを担当。強靱なバンド・アンサンブルと、空前絶後のステージ・セットが織りなす一大スペクタクルとも言うべきライヴ・パフォーマンスも彼らの大きな魅力の一つ。
2000年に初来日、以降 2001，2002，2004，2006，2007，2010，2013，2015，2017 年に来日公演
